'Compliance at competitive cost'
Formed in January 2004 by UK producers of electric and electronic equipment, REPIC Limited is the UK’s largest electrical and electronic producer compliance scheme. It has 129 compliance scheme members. It’s role is to administer and discharge the obligations of its members under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive.
Its members represent around 50% of the weight and value of all electrical and electronic products sold annually in the UK.
A not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee, and formed from the representative trade associations in the UK, it is owned solely by companies obligated under the WEEE Directive. REPIC also provides Battery and Packaging compliance solutions for its members.
Since its formation in 2004, REPIC has constructively engaged with producers, government, local authorities, retailers, the re-use sector, other compliance schemes, waste transport and treatment sectors to offer solutions for a low cost, sustainable and equitable implementation of Producer Responsibility legislation in the UK.
“Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.”
REPIC ensures that collection and delivery of electrical items are handled and processed through clear, auditable routes.
Triangle started working with REPIC in 2009. Their business system and waste management system needed updating to meet with the Environment Agency’s current practices, and they chose Triangle to develop their bespoke system due to our extensive software development track record.
