Return to Leeds after 42 years
31 October 2013
We have recently opened a software development office in Leeds at Carrwood Park, Selby Road, Colton. As well as being an exciting opportunity to provide our software services to businesses in Leeds and across Yorkshire, this move also has a personal significance to me.
In 1958, at the age of 5 1/2 and accompanied my mum, I caught a number 39 bus from Whitkirk to travel to Colton to my new primary school Templenewsam Colton Primary. I had 6 happy years there, under the watchful eye of the head mistress Miss Duxbury and after leaving to attend Temple Moor Grammar, I often returned to Colton to play cricket at Colton Cricket Club.
Whilst I have returned to Leeds many times to visit my parents, I have not worked in Leeds since leaving to go to university in 1971 so it is particularly poignant for me to own a business with an office less than a mile from my first school.
I look forward to meeting business men and women from Leeds and helping them with their software - who knows, I may even bump in to an old classmate!
